How to Use Vitamin A Effectively for Treating Wrinkles

Vitamin A is one of the biggest components in wrinkle cream. As might be expected, each and every product claims to be the greatest in making wrinkles disappear. In fact, many employ deceptive tactics to make you think that they are working. These include adding small pieces of glitter to wrinkle removing creams. Glitter is used because it reflects light out of the wrinkles. This will make it look like your wrinkles are gone. So if you use these creams containing glitter, you will watch your money go down the drain when you wash your face.
You should definitely know about vitamin A if you are using anti-aging creams. Vitamin A also goes by the name retinol. It is used to literally erase wrinkles. Sometimes it can take a few days or weeks to work. Don’t be scared. The wrinkles will dissipate.
Retinol is used because it causes your skin to stay elastic. Furthermore, it helps your skin retain moisture. If you use enough it can even “plump” your wrinkles so that they are stretched tight and smoothed out.
However, retinol also has some associated complications that you need to be aware of. The biggest complication would be sun sensitivity. Taking vitamin A or using it topically can make you very sensitive to the sun. Just walking around on sunny day can make you get a burn. You should always wear sunblock on your face if you don’t want wrinkles.
In addition, retinol can create issues for people with very sensitive skin. Some of the more common effects of vitamin A (besides being a wrinkle fighter) can be breakouts and/or dry skin. However, this is usually the result of over doing it with your vitamin A treatments. Test your vitamin A product on the inside of your elbow first, if you are anxious about using it. Place a tiny bit there two times a day for a week. If you do not have any redness or inflammation then you should be just fine. But, you must watch your skin carefully to be sure you are okay.
Here is my final warning. Follow the directions! You must not use vitamin A if you just want to rub on any old moisturizer to protect your skin. Its for those who who don’t mess around when it comes to their skin care regimen. Vitamin A can completely get rid of wrinkles, usually, so make sure you are using it the correct way.
